Rolls-Royce, the very best available, The Best Car in the World and at 60 mph, the loudest noise you can hear is the ticking of the clock! just a few of the past superlatives afforded to this make of car.
The very name Rolls-Royce suggests the very best and toy companies will want at least one example in their range. Many well established toy companies tend to have a couple of models in their range, like Corgi, Dinky and Matchbox etc and those companies will want to make a model of The Best Car in the World, their best toy model of it, in many cases they have succeeded in doing this, but there are countless toy companies who just want something in their range with a Rolls-Royce grille on the front, thinking that will still bring them huge sales!
This website will look at all types of Rolls-Royce, (and Bentley) toys and models from the established 'Brands' but also the less well known 'Brands' and will hopefully be a reference site where you can come to, for all the interesting facts and figures about these models.
There is a contact and comments area for any collectors brave enough to air their views, and I encourage you to do so, as it will bring some 'Life' into the site, so we know there are proper collectors out there!
If you have a general model collection with only a few Rolls-Royce models and you feel this site is not quite what you were looking for, then you should look into the 'Vintage British Made Diecast' website, particularly the 'Forum' section, where you will meet other collectors of similar models, not just Rolls-Royce.
You will find a 'Link' to the forum on the 'Home' page.
It will not be possible to include every known type of model on a 'compact' website such as the one you are reading now, but hopefully, I will feature the sort of models that most of us have in our collections now, or hope to be adding in the near future.
If you do not see the sort of models you collect, tell me and I will try and feature them as soon as possible. Likewise, if you think there are too many of one sort of model appearing on this site, tell me again.
The most well known brands of models will be easy to find, simply because they were the most prolific models to be produced from companies such as 'Corgi, 'Dinky', 'Matchbox' and 'Spot-on' etc and kept in production for many years, creating various casting changes, so we all have examples of those brands in our collections and are of constant interest on their own.
